OUR Mission
The Asian Cannabis Roundtable (ACR) advocates for the best interests of people of Asian descent working in the cannabis sector and its supporting industries. Toward this goal, ACR engages in education, networking, public policy advocacy, and the provision of support and resources to members and communities. We recognize and welcome the diversity of Asians, nationally, internationally, and across all diasporas.
Our Pillars
-
Establish a platform for AAPI-owned licensees to connect and engage in supply chain discussions, while also highlighting AAPI-owned brands nationally and locally. This involves creating networking opportunities, workshops, and regional events to foster in-person community building and support.
-
Focus on normalization and destigmatization of cannabis in the AAPI community through educational workshops, seminars, and advocacy efforts. This includes breaking generational barriers of cannabis stigma, providing expungement clinics, and promoting cannabis usage as plant medicine while championing social equity and safe, legal access to cannabis and banking.
-
Empower and advocate for AAPI individuals currently working in the cannabis industry or aspiring to join it. This involves providing workshops on best practices, accounting, HR, and professional services tailored to AAPI licensees, as well as ensuring representation of AAPI cannabis operators within the broader cannabis community.
-
Forge partnerships and collaborations with other organizations, industry stakeholders, and community leaders to maximize impact. This includes working with AAPI chambers of commerce, healthcare providers, academic institutions, and government agencies to promote responsible cannabis use, public health initiatives, and equitable access to resources and support services.
