Located in downtown Chicago, Kat is a cannabis professional and enthusiast born in the Philippines and raised in the U.S. While receiving her bachelors in Integrated Health Studies at University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), she was actively involved with the Asian American Resource Cultural Center (AARCC). Coming from a family with generations of medical professionals, her love of all things science solidified her desire of working in cannabis to benefit the wellness of others. 

Currently Kat works with Verano as their Wholesale Marketing Manager for IL, with a specialization in cannabis consumption events. She serves as the Communication Coordinator for Asian Cannabis Roundtable, as well as actively being involved with the cannabis community. 

In her free time Kat enjoys trying out new restaurants in Chicago, taking care of plants (yes that includes cannabis!), spending time with her husband and 2 dogs, and cooking yummy food at home. Right now she is learning Tagalog with a teacher in the Philippines!
